What’s Going On

AI-generated videos featuring political figures — particularly Donald Trump — have become a cultural phenomenon. These range from obviously satirical deepfakes to disturbingly realistic fabrications, and the line between the two is getting harder to draw.

The most viral examples include AI-generated videos of Trump in absurd situations, AI voice clones delivering fake speeches, and manipulated footage that makes it appear Trump said or did things he didn’t. Some are clearly labeled as AI-generated satire. Others are designed to deceive.
